Position Overview:
As a School-Based Speech-Language Therapist, you will work with students to assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders. You will collaborate with educators, parents, and other school professionals to create intervention plans that support student learning and development.
Key Responsibilities:

Conduct assessments and evaluations to diagnose speech and language disorders.

Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on evaluation results.

Provide direct therapy services to students in both individual and group settings.

Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to create strategies that support student communication and academic success.

Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of evaluations, therapy sessions, progress reports, and IEP (Individualized Education Program) goals.

Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to goal setting and accommodations.

Educate and train school staff and parents on strategies to support students' communication needs.

Implement evidence-based practices to improve speech and language development.

Stay informed on the latest research and best practices in speech-language pathology.
Qualifications:

Masters Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.

Valid state licensure or eligibility to obtain licensure in the state of practice.

Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred.

Experience in a school-based or pediatric setting is highly desirable.

Strong knowledge of language development, articulation, fluency, and AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication) devices.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Ability to work independently and manage a caseload effectively.
